We represent you, the client, not the logistics company. GarroutteVerdell Garroutte

President and Co-founder

For the past 18 years Mr. Garroutte has operated a private corporate consulting practice concentrating in corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions. Most of his clients have been small to medium size companies. Mr. Garroutte previously served as CEO for FirstSource International, Inc., a PC product internet company that was sold to En Pointe Technologies, Inc. Mr. Garroutte also served on the Board of Directors (Chairman of the Audit and Compensation Committees) of En Pointe Technologies, Inc. a publicly owned company, for eight years. Previously he served as a senior executive with ComputerLand Corporation. His responsibilities at ComputerLand included financial adviser to its 600 US franchisees. He also served in several senior executive capacities, including President, in the petroleum exploration and producing industry both domestically and in Indonesia. Mr. Garroutte started his career with PriceWaterhouse Coopers LLP in San Francisco after which he was employed as an Account Executive with Dean Witter Reynolds Securities. Mr. Garroutte holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from San Jose State University (1966).

WalshJohn K. Walsh

EVP Business Development & Marketing and Co-founder

Mr. Walsh has over 20 years experience as an entrepreneur, sales and marketing executive and consultant with fast growth, start-up companies within the high-tech industry. Mr. Walsh has a successful track record working with sales, distribution partners and end-user customers to enhance market penetration, build loyalty programs, manage product development, and create award-winning marketing communications programs. John Walsh studied business at the University of Utah until 1988. After relocating to Southern California he founded two firms in the computer and electronics space. First Source International and Paragon Memory Corporation experienced significant growth earning the firm a position on Inc. 500 list of America’s fastest growing companies two years in a row. In 1998 John sold First Source International to En Pointe Technologies and went on to serve as First Source’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Upon leaving First Source John joined vCommerce, a supply chain and ecommerce platform provided headquartered in Scottsdale Arizona and served as their Vice President of Business Development. John was later recruited by SmartReply Inc. in Irvine California to serve as their VP of Sales. After serving two years in this John returned to his entrepreneurial roots and became a sales consultant to SmartReply. This change allowed John to pursue other business interests through his J. Walsh & Company entity. In addition to other small equity investments Jonh continues to generate a significant portion of SmartReply’s annual sales.
